I feel almost the same way. The consent/contract aspect of this absolves the ethical dilemma imo, but the quality of both of this company's products are WORSE because of the AI voices. Every piece of dialogue in The Finals and Arc Raiders is completely soulless. great games tho
Maybe a hot take but I stand behind Eurogamer's review score completely for the reasoning of AI voices. Regardless of whether the voice actors consented to using their voices for AI, stop fucking normalising it. Punish the companies for even daring to do this shit.
