.@UHC allowed their contract w Capital Women’s Care to lapse so they’re no longer IN. This removed 400+ providers from network. 1000s of women in the DMV &WV are impacted. In today’s political climate, the LAST needed is further restricted access to healthcare. .@UHC- Fix this!

This is an egregious overstep. Not only is the research & data extremely important, but it’s Congressionally mandated so once again this administration is breaking the rules of our country & going against Congressional mandates. 7/

I CANNOT fathom the reasoning to cut this, except bc the current administration has no idea what it is, and is ignorant to what the data means, or how important it is. And so here we are with one of nation’s most important research team thrown in the trash. 5/

The dedicated scientists working on it had to work very hard to complete it & understand how to appropriately & ethically manage it bc it’s so comprehensive & complicated. 4/

It is actually a Congressionally mandated annual report & the only report of its kind done in the US. All major universities & researchers use it regularly. The NSDUH is an incredibly comprehensive & difficult data set to work with. 3/

An entire team at the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) was terminated as part of the RIFs. This was the team working on The National Survey on Drug Use & Health. It’s the only national survey focusing specifically on drug use & mental health. 2/
