I highly suggest people read the actual reporting instead of viral internet posts. There’s a lot to be mad about, and a lot of it has to do with GOP insanity. There’s no need to blame everyday people, especially when your blame is coming from a misinformed place. Lord help us.

I agree it is shocking the kind of ignorance it takes to argue to reject infrastructure money. But have you ever been to a city council meeting anywhere? Ignorance abounds! . To try and use that to paint an entire group of people as deserving of tragedy is despicable.

There’s a story that Kerr County rejected Biden’s money out of spite. This isn’t true, it WAS accepted & spent on a radio system. The implication that it was rejected is misinfo & is as ignorant as as the MAGA commentators who opposed the funding in the first place.

Another candidate for worst takes of 2024 - also includes a pretty glaring lie, Colin Allred only travelled to 7% of Texas counties! And he didn't 'engage the base' he oversaw a bleeding of traditional democratic voters.
Anyone saying Colin Allred hasn’t intentionally engaged the base or traveled the state is spreading misinformation and frankly helping Ted Cruz’s campaign divide the Democratic Party. Allred has done both base mobilization and persuasion. THATS what it takes to win.
