Today I joined a coalition of leaders who are signing onto the Building Brighter Futures Plan. We know it won't be easy, but it's the right thing to do to make sure @CLEMetroSchools can give each and every scholar the opportunities they deserve.

Not to be ageist or anything but.... 👴🏾 🏠 because Cleveland’s housing stock is so old, many of the units in town should be tested for lead. Lead in Cleveland is a major issue, so let's talk about how you can check for lead in your home. ✍🏻 @CeliaHack

Tenants, homeowners and people with children have different resources available to get their homes tested for lead.

This is one of the most important things I will do as mayor. A Home For Every Neighbor has helped 180 Clevelanders find housing and get back on track. https://t.co/dkD9KhzYap

.@CleDPH director @DaveMargo "said Kennedy is wasting time going over settled science. Margolius said the nation should be able to focus on smoking cessation and eliminating lead poisoning—not worry about measles outbreaks amid the vaccine distrust that Kennedy is fanning."

What would cutting Medicaid expansion mean for Cleveland? Potentially, a $596 million drop in health spending. One nonprofit clinic estimates it could lose ~$2M a year in revenue, which could shrink their staff & lengthen wait times @signalcleveland

The governor’s budget bill proposes certain Medicaid cuts if federal funding for the expansion program shrinks.

More than 1,300 kids in Cleveland tested positive for elevated levels of lead in their blood last year, the city's health director said Monday. A City Council committee spent 3.5 hours examining where we stand on tackling the lead-paint crisis in homes.

For my first @signalcleveland piece, I explored the city’s role in the nation’s first Earth Day in 1970. One tidbit: It involved students marching in a protest called the “procession of death” to the polluted Cuyahoga River. More below: https://t.co/IAH2V5vntK

There were times growing up when we didn't know if we'd have a place to live, but we had Grandma Sarah's duplex on Dove as a safe haven. A Home for Every Neighbor is personal for me. I’m pleased to announce that we've now placed 150+ neighbors in homes. https://t.co/xgwRejJ7Lc

Out with the team from City Hall and neighbors today cleaning up an encampment as part of our Home for Every Neighbor initiative. Grateful for everyone pitching in as we keep pushing for real solutions to end homelessness in Cleveland.
@JustinMBibb, Chief Luke, Members of #CLEFIRE, @CLEpolice, @CLEMayorsOffice Staff and community members are working to clean up a former homeless encampment west of Scranton under the Abbey Bridge this morning. Many hands make light work. Great to see the participation!
