USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse. I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

If there was automation to replace people, farmers would already be using it. If Americans wanted these jobs, they would already be working in them. If Americans want their food grown in the US, they need to support American farmers. JMHO

My dad actively discouraged all three of his kids to take over our family farm and instead pushed us to get "real jobs" with a steady paycheck. Farming is an industry that's hard to be successful in without massive family or institutional wealth to back you up in the bad years.
Deport all of them and hire Americans to do the jobs. Invest money into trade schools and farming programs to recruit American youth to be farmers.

UPDATE: @Fresnoland reporter @Pablo_Orihuela_ does not have to testify! After FAC filed a motion to quash a subpoena and protect Oriehuela's rights as a journalist, the case in which the @CityofFresno subpoenaed Orihuela was dismissed this morning.
