The official snowfall observation at Trenton Mercer Regional Airport. Exactly 1 inch! . Does that mean @BillSpadea and @EricScottNJ1015 owe each other a bottle of bourbon? #OverUnderPush @nj1015

7 INCHES OF RAIN drenched New Jersey over the last three days, putting a (temporary) end to drought and wildfire concerns. I compiled some statistics, including a Top 5 Rainfall list for each NJ county.

FINALLY DRYING OUT. It's not raining! The sun is out! Hip hip hooray!. As nice as this morning is, we still have some raindrops and unseasonably cool temperatures to talk about this week. But next weekend? 👍👍.

RAIN RETURNS TODAY. One more soggy, stormy day. Still some uncertainty whether NJ gets "only" an inch of rain from this round, or more like 2-3". Downpours, gusts of wind, and rumbles of thunder are possible through this evening. Pretty nasty. Nice day tomorrow!

STATEWIDE FLOOD WATCH. We needed rain, we got it. The ground is now saturated, after 3+ inches of rain fell over much of NJ. And with more heavy rain and thunderstorms on the way today, it raises alarm bells for flooding. Coastal flooding a concern for back bays specifically.

IT'S RAINING, IT'S POURING. Some spots along New Jersey's southern coast have picked up 3 or 4 inches of rain over the last 24 hours. Wow!. The wet weather will let up today and especially tonight. But rain returns with a vengeance tomorrow.

STORM SYSTEM #1 OF 3. Spotty showers and t-storms may dampen your Wednesday. Damp and dreary weather at times today. But nothing crazy. Two rounds of steadier, heavier rain may affect outdoor plans this weekend. #WeNeedTheRain.

Grab the umbrella to prepare for raindrops across New Jersey on Wednesday, but there are two rain chances coming up that will be even wetter and more impactful.

DRY AND PLEASANT TODAY. But we are still watching three chances of rain over the next week: 1.) Spotty showers late Wednesday. 2.) Steady rain Friday into Saturday. 3.) Heavy rain Sunday into Monday. We really need the rain. 🤞.

BRIGHTER, DRIER, COOLER. We still have some lingering rain this morning, but sun should start to break out around lunchtime. There is a slight chance of a late-day shower clipping North Jersey. Good sunshine and pleasant weather ahead for Monday and Tuesday.

SAT 5:30PM. THUNDERSTORMS INCOMING. This evening is going to get a bit nasty, as a line of thunderstorms rolls west to east across New Jersey. Gusty winds and heavy rain are possible, especially along the western edge of the state. When thunder roars, head indoors!

SEVERE WEATHER POSSIBLE TONIGHT. We really need rain. And we'll get get about a half-inch or more here. But there is a chance these storms pack a windy punch. Technically there is a tornado risk too, but it's low and limited to western NJ. Storm arrival time around 6pm-10pm.

MILD DAY, STORMY NIGHT. Temperatures should push into the 70s one more time today, with mostly cloudy and breezy conditions. Daytime looks fine. But after about 6pm, we'll have to watch the western sky for a line of gusty, super-soaker thunderstorms.

WARM AND TOASTY. Inland NJ will come close to 80 degrees today. Hopefully Shore points will crack 60 - darn that springtime on-shore breeze!. We'll stay dry and storm-free through about dinnertime tomorrow. Then a line of rain and thunderstorms will roll through tomorrow night.
