8yrs ago today this legend moved on from Fratton Park after 122 appearances, an FA Cup winners medal, FA Cup runner up medal and a whole host of incredible memories. Even told Michael Appleton he’d play for us for free just over a year later. They don’t make ‘em like him anymore

Gutted to hear of the passing of John Jenkins MBE. First met him doing my 1st ever private plumbing job as a 19yo working in his flat. He showed me his original 1939 cup final memorabilia & talked for hours of his pompey memories. Fell in love with him and did the job for free.
