As another of @PJTheEconomist's 'nerds' who likes discussing the Green Book, I agree that there are dangers here (as my blog also highlights . But reviewing the discuount rate and not being too beholden to the BCR makes sense.
Spot on by @PJTheEconomist in his cautionary words surrounding the #GreenBook review by HM Treasury: Signs of gerrymandering the outcome for the UK discount rate will only end up filtering back into Gilt yields as the UK’s creditors see less VfM
