The single best thing that could happen to Harvard Square would be to close it to through traffic forever. Yes, all of it.

The people of Cambridge need care, not cops! Cambridge DSA opposes Policy Order #3, which requests "additional enforcement tools" to target specific outside sleepers. Voice your opposition at the 8/4 Cambridge City Council meeting at 5:30 pm! Sign up at https://t.co/t7guqSaVcB

The CPD is furiously spinning this debacle. After hours of antagonizing community members, they tear gassed a low-income apartment building with ZERO WARNING. An on-site medic confirmed that an elderly resident and a baby were sent to the hospital due to chemical exposure.

There's a meeting tomorrow night Sept 24 @ 6pm for protected bike lanes on Aberdeen Ave. Unfortunately it's a slow year in Cambridge due to the city council voting 5-4 to delay the building of bike lanes, but there is progress and you can learn more here:

I’ve gotten 12 spam texts about the presidential election since 4 PM tonight. Anyone else? This is ridiculous

My name is Evan MacKay. I’m running for state representative in Cambridge to make MA better for the many, not the few. As we head into early voting starting this Saturday, check out our brand-new campaign video!

We have to get serious about protecting the environment and confronting climate change. Our climate and environment cannot afford both climate-denying Republicans or climate-delaying Democrats. I’m proud to be endorsed by @350MassAct. Check out why 🧵

I’m tired of walking down Broadway and seeing 20 vacant parking spots and a bunch of Uhaul trucks, but no protected bike lane. No justifiable reason for delaying implementation

Instead of spending tax dollars on policing and loss prevention for large corporations like Target, the city should invest in hundreds of new units of permanent supportive housing for unhoused people trying to survive poverty on our streets https://t.co/ARFR0u9Gjv

I really enjoyed canvassing for @EvanforCambridg yesterday. We need to support queer candidates when they step up to run! Evan’s race is totally winnable, I found so many supporters on the doors. But they need your help. Join the fun at upcoming events: https://t.co/O99vy23zaj

Marjorie Decker has been silent on the bike safety crisis this month: She was absent at the vigil despite Kim Staley’s death occurring in her district. She made zero public statements. And..20 minutes before the vigil, she promoted an elite fundraiser for up to $1000 a plate.

SMEA workers have haven't had a raise since 2021 Rally with us on Tuesday (6/18) from 5-6pm at Somerville City Hall, and ask the City Council to take a stand for these workers! We can't let Mayor Ballantyne continue to delay while these workers suffer https://t.co/pOXeuZlS9i

Biking down Cambridge St. today, I’m frustrated by how easily we could accommodate parking and still provide a safe bike lane and pedestrian crosswalk. Delaying bike lanes as some on City Council want helps no one and hurts everyone. Let’s push for safer streets! @cambbikesafety
