Until a little over a week ago, no LH hitter had hit a ball that cleared the RF pavilion at Dodger Stadium in over 50 years - since Willie Stargell in 1973. Now Kyle Schwarber and Shohei Ohtani have both done it in a span of 4 games. Baseball!

Ohtani gifts us with unique, dominant excellence. There were a lot of people who were adamant about his inability to pitch AND hit in the big leagues when he arrived in the Spring of 2018. In fact, some teams didn't even scout him in Japanโpuzzling strategy. Hmmm...๐ค

Shohei Ohtani isn't a generational player. There have been nine to 10 generations of baseball players now. Ohtani is the only guy to do this in any of those generations.

Dodgers right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto just threw the first complete game in the postseason in eight years. The last one: Justin Verlander on this very day in 2017 in Game 2 of the ALCS. After a leadoff home run, Yamamoto was near-perfect, and the Dodgers now lead the NLCS, 2-0.
