It’s unclear if the Skaggs side will get to have a rebuttal case. There will also need to be a separate hearing on punitive damages, if the jury finds they’re justified. And it’s unclear when that would happen. The judge had been rushing through things as time became an issue.

An update on timing for the completion of the Skaggs-Angels civil trial. The Angels’ case is expected to wrap on Friday. The jury will hear jury instructions and closing arguments on Monday, before deliberations begin. Deliberations could go throughout next week.

The trial is being delayed at the moment because one of the jurors hasn't shown up, and isn't picking up his phone. They've already lost two jurors, and only have two alternates left. When they do start: Skaggs' agent Ryan Hamill, and surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache will testify.
