On this day in 2020: Marlowe Stoudamire joins the ancestors. The 43-year-old had experienced COVID-19. Stoudamire had worked at @skillmanfound, and led @DHSDetroit award-winning Detroit 67 project, commemorating 50th anniversary of the 1967 uprising.

#OTD in 1896, Charles Brady King drove his 4-wheeled vehicle for the 1st time in Detroit. Featuring a 4-cylinder, 4-cycle, gas engine of his own design, Brady's was the 1st car ever driven on the streets of Detroit. A replica is on display at @DHSDetroit. #ThisDayInAutoHeritage

Here at Lafayette Central Park, a Historical Marker now sits. It reminds people of where Black Bottom used to be, and although that neighborhood is now gone, it's history lives on.
