Why should anyone believe the police union when you lie to the public about what's happening in the city? MPD's data shows that violent crime are at record lows. Why should anyone trust your perspective if you are willing to peddle a lie that is so easily falsifiable?

the law isn’t in effect yet, current sentences and all the racist, draconian punishments from the i’ll-informed 1990s are still in effect. clearly harsh penalties haven’t curbed the rise in homicides. Read the research. Focus on what works, city council did.
