Well deserved honor for the GOAT! .I had the opportunity to coach against Mike in the late 80’s and early 90’s…he set a standard of excellence for us all. I still recall John Fogerty’s song, “Centerfield” cranking out as the Bombers warmed up.
Mike Kohut Varsity Baseball Field Re-dedication will be today at 4:10pm at field. Please join us. Game time is 430pm vs Cairo Durham.

Thank you to all the officials!Without them, we don’t have games. …remember parents, refs are there to officiate the contest. Not for you to use as an excuse to explain away Junior’s athletic shortcomings. Please channel your frustrations elsewhere.
From the gridiron, to the track, the putting green and beyond, our officials are the core to helping student-athletes know the game and get better at their craft, and we owe much of our Spring success to them!. Make sure to say thank you to your game officials during this Spring

Saddened to hear of the passing of Dick Barnett - one of my all time favorite Knicks. Partnered in the backcourt with Clyde Frazier for the 1969-70 Championship squad….and yeah, I tried shooting just like #12…we all did back then. You young’uns will need to Google it. RIP.

John Macri scored three goals and Danny Cashen had three assists for the Red Hook boys lacrosse team in a 9-6 win over Saugerties. Everett Giorgio and Lucas Flores each added two goals, and Jack Melious made seven saves for the Raiders.

The NYSSWA has announced its 2025 boys basketball all-state teams in Classes B, C, and D. The large-school classes will be revealed April 28.

Tomorrow, Brian Laffin will be inducted into the NY State Basketball Hall of Fame. Most are aware of his on-court accomplishments but it’s Brian’s work behind the scenes promoting area basketball that’s equally as impressive. A well deserved honor for a friend. Congrats Laff!!.

Excellent description of how the game was officiated. I wonder why the officials changed the way they officiated the second half - hopefully a decision that came to amongst themselves and not the higher ups.
You cant call the 1st half like a UFC fight & call the 2nd like it’s a ballet. Shoutout to Florida for best adjusting to the 2nd half. but this game was horribly officiated. Only 4 fouls total were called in the first half. 25 fouls were called in the 2nd. If you set the tone.

Over the last month our officials have had the honor of working the @SpecialOlympics at Somers High School, Marist University, and SUNY New Paltz. An amazing experience with a great staff and organization!

I haven’t seen a team look as dominant as Duke in the NCAA Tourney since the ‘91 UNLV Runnin’ Rebels….and we know what happened to them in that Final Four.

In ‘85 the Big East had 3 teams in the final four….looks like the SEC had a shot to equal or surpass that this year.
