Charles Entenmann passed away today at 92. His delicious creations graced Shabbos kiddushes across the world.
If you had to eat one of these in his memory what are you choosing?

There’s a famous picture of a Chanukah menorah being lit from a window with Nazi banners visible through the window.
The photo was taken by Akiva & Rachel Posner in 1931.
Tonight their grandson Yehudah lit from that very same menorah inside the home of the President of Germany.
When Senator Joe Lieberman announced he was running as VP the Daily Show did a segment about what his Shabbos observance could mean for the White House.
It was incredible.
President Magill of Penn released a statement.

-Step in the right direction. I think steps even if not all the way there should be recognized as such. This is a good step.
-Missing an actual apology. She doesn’t say I’m sorry. I think people need to better…
Like I know this isn’t normal. I assume most coffee shops don’t operate this way.
But that there is even one on American soil that would treat someone Jewish this way—weaponizing their warped immature view of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict—is so sad and outrageous.
Genuinely shocking to read Ryna Workman’s account of events.
She blamed Israel in the immediate aftermath of the Hamas terrorist attack.
Now in a gofund me she is shocked people read malicious intent into her email and claims she’s being singled out “not only because of what…
There is a special bracha you are supposed to say when you see a crowd of 600 thousand Jews.
I hope we have such an opportunity tomorrow in Washington DC.
❤️❤️❤️
Same outfit. Same day.
Blames Israel for the attack. Refuses to condemn Hamas. Refuses to say she has empathy for Israelis. Tears down posters of Israeli hostages.
Outrageous moral position.
NYU student Ryna Workman, who says they were denied a job following their controversial comments on the Israel-Hamas conflict, speaks with
@LinseyDavis
.
The criticism of Israel?
“radical solidarity with Palestine means … not apologizing for Hamas.”
That’s not criticizing Israel.
That is siding with terrorism.
Can anyone here identify this hero?
Would love to get him (or his daughter who he was trying to pick up!) a gift in appreciation for just not letting these terrorists continue continue their mayhem.
Thank you, sir!
“Today I am just too broken.”
~Before addressing the crowd about her son Hersh, Rachel Goldberg laid her head on the podium in tears.
It’s just been too long. 💔
@benshapiro
People have been telling the Jewish people that we’ve spun our proverbial last dreidel for over 2000 years.
But here we are.
Still spinning. ❤️
“There are less than 8 million Jewish people in this country. Fewer than are watching this game.”
~TV commercial calling out antisemitism that ran during today’s Jets game.
Yes, there’s a lot of mayhem at 770.
Just wanted to publicly say that for many this is beyond deeply painful. We’re watching the home of the Rebbe being desecrated.
I made jokes too, hope I didn’t cross a line, but it’s important to remember the significance of what 770…
Yahel Shoham, young enough to still need a car seat.
Kidnapped by Hamas.
Finally released.
Young enough for a car seat.
We will never forget these horrors. Never.
It’s hard to explain the impact of Senator Joe Lieberman, of blessed memory, on the Jewish community.
Watching someone who wore a yarmulke, kept Shabbos, engaging proudly in Jewish life—run to be vice president of the United States was awe inspiring.
He opened up doors to…
@PeterBeinart
Peter, that’s not equivalent. We both know that.
If the outrage was about the Palestinian flag maybe you’d be right. But it’s not. It’s about the phrase “Intifada” and everything it has represented in our lifetime.
I’ve seen ugly phrases said by Jews (מות לערבים) those should…
Some parting thoughts on today’s 🇮🇱 rally:
-Standing together with Jews to help preserve Jewish life and our Jewish home is a holy experience.
-The porta-potty situation was surprisingly efficient.
-There were many non-Jews present to stand with Israel and I find that very…
30 years ago today, after losing an election for his second term, President George Bush left this letter to incoming President Bill Clinton.
A moving testimony to what political discourse once was and could still be.
Don’t forget that
@SHAQ
insisted on his signature sneaker being affordable. He turned down a lucrative signature sneaker deal and instead made a shoe that costed a fraction of the price and sold at Walmart.
Class act and mentsch.
This should be required watching.
Good primer on how to have a normal and healthy interaction with a Hasidic Jew. Not so hard after all.

“My son asked me why I’m crying. To see Chassidim dancing like this because hostage was freed…there is real understanding throughout—we cannot return to divisiveness.”

Farley’s Coffee San Francisco…. They’ve issued an apology and n their instagram account ….. not good enough they have to be sued for not allowing the woman into the bathroom … violation of Civil Rights law and commerce clause
7 years ago his father was murdered in a terrorist attack before his eyes.
He died al Kiddush Hashem defending the Jewish people.

This prayer was composed by Jews in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp during the Holocaust lamenting to God that they will be unable to avoid eating chametz and eat matzah on Passover.
In the depths of hell, Jews still reaching for the freedom to have faith. ❤️🩹
As a child, Rabbi Dr. Abraham J. Twerski was cast in his Christmas play.
His mother called the teacher afterwards.
The teacher thought his mother would yell at her for casting her Jewish child in the play.
Instead she just wanted to know if he was self-conscious during the…
There’s *gotta* be a better way to advertise the value of Judaism. 🤦♂️
If you had $ for such a billboard what would yours say?
Judaism: Come for _________, stay for ___________.
Please. Not this.
Linda Sarsour: "There are provocateurs all across the city" waiting for you to rip down "their little posters ...They have their little people all around the city...They are everywhere. They are on your college campus, they are outside the supermarket..."

When a convert joins the Jewish people, the first question—before Shabbos, before the prohibition of idolatry, before anything—is about standing with the Jewish people as they suffer.
This is the entryway to joining the Jewish people.

I successfully defended my dissertation today.
This process was arduous & filled with doubt: what’s the point, does it even matter, who cares, this is garbage.
This process also taught me about baby steps, incremental growth, and my enduring faith in a little bit at a time.
❤️
I wouldn’t normally amplify this type of rhetoric but this person is running for district leader in Brooklyn.
Minimizing very real acts of anti-semitism in order to highlight other issues—even important ones—is the worst kind of politics.
Give credit where credit is due:
