How well do clear drapes prevent droplet spray/aerosolization during intubation and extubation of COVID positive/suspected patients? We carried out an experiment. Turns out they do VERY well! You've got to see the video #COVID19 #coronavirus #pedsanes #pedsicu #anesthesia

The gas sampling line should be connected to the HMEF on the *machine side* of the filter. Simply choosing a β€œHEPA” filter may not be sufficient since that definition applies to filters that have an efficiency of 99.97% for particles greater than 0.3 microns. #COVID19 #covid

There's a Facebook group with 6,000 members dedicated to designing open-source COVID-19 medical supplies. The group is sharing CAD files for ventilators, respirators, and equipment that can be fabricated in emergency conditions. Absolutely inspiring https://t.co/Z1dMdqy6tv

Great thread. This is all about #forceprotection. You can’t help patients if you are quarantined, sick or dead. Precautions first. #COVID19

You as a healthcare worker are a force multiplier. Your training and experience is invaluable moving into this crisis. So, you're going to be faced with some very difficult moments. You're going to have to put your needs first. I'm speaking specifically about PPE and your safety
