KenPom conference strength of schedule rankings for the top 5 teams in the Big Ten standings:
Purdue - 12th
Maryland - 13th
Indiana - 3rd
Michigan - 11th
Northwestern - 8th
Anytime you hear the an announcement at Assembly Hall claiming that the home team might get T'd up for chanting obscenities at an opponent, just remember that Northwestern fans chanted "Fuck You Miller" at least six times without even an admonishment from the officials
Man...I'm stunned. I thought IU could win. Didn't think they would win. Certainly didn't think that they would win the way they did.
The defensive effort and intensity was impressive for so many long stretches. And the willingness to shoot 3s was key.
OK this pisses me off. You didn't even name him a starter until week 3, you've got a nonfunctional offensive line in front of him due to your coaching cronyism, and you're blaming him for not performing on the road against a team you just called one of the best in the Big Ten?
Allen on benching Tayven Jackson: "We just needed a spark, looking for something...He understands he's gotta perform to be able to be in that position."

A humble suggestion for IU fans. Maybe just embrace the Woodson Project and accept that Mike and his staff are pros who know what they’re doing.
And stop listening to people who insist on claiming otherwise.

Juwan Howard just made direct physical contact with a referee and somehow wasn't given an immediate technical. I was told that's an automatic technical.
I mean if Northwestern is allowed to aggressively assault any player within 10 feet of the post, then there won't be much point in playing the rest of the game
Trayce Jackson-Davis recorded his 4th career game with 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks today.
No other player in the Big Ten has more than one such game in the last 25 seasons. In fact, the rest of the Big Ten has recorded 5 such games combined over that span.
Thrilled for Mgbako - was quiet for so much of that second half but was incredibly cool on those two FTs to put IU up three. Big confidence builder for him.
Same with CJ Gunn. A lot more good than bad tonight.
The fallout from the Big Ten allowing one of its coaches to emasculate one of its referees on live television has greatly improved IU's chances at a double-bye in the conference tournament
It should be nasty. This conference has every financial advantage in the book but has allowed its basketball product to become nationally uncompetitive and has shown zero actual awareness of the problems at hand. Embarrassing fall from grace.
You consider how IU has just straight-up lost these games in February the last seven years, it's refreshing to see them win them, even if the actual games are as enjoyable as a trip to a dentist's office located inside the BMV.
Stop saying "It's hard to beat a team three times in a season." They did a study on this from 2008-2018. Of the 981 matchups across D1 college hoops in that time, the teams entering the third game 2-0 were a combined 710-271 (.724) in the third meeting.
Nearly $100 million per team per year in television revenue and you can't hire decent officiating for your conference games. It's really something else.
Disappointing ending. A lot of good moments from this season. You can see the DNA of the program changing for the better, but you can also see there’s a ways to go. Now time for some big transitions.
Things I appreciate about the new
#iufb
coaching staff:
3. Making IU football fandom fun again
2. Tireless hours putting together an impressive first recruit + transfer class
1. Their concerted efforts to bring back the bison
Disappointed but not mad. Big Ten teams now 6-27 on the road in February. IU looks like a lot of other teams right now --- struggling with fatigue and trying to slog through the rest of the conference season. Defense and rebounding let them down today.
Bellarmine transfer Langdon Hatton has committed to Indiana, per his Instagram.
The 6’10 forward averaged 10.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists last season with the Knights.

Amendment:
In the last 4 years, Allen has:
- Hired an unproven OC
- Had a starting QB transfer
- Fired the unproven OC
- Hired a new OC
- Got a starting QB from the portal
- Fired the OL coach
- Pushed out a starting QB
- Got an untested QB from the portal
- Fired the new OC
"No interim tag" is really stunning and disappointing.
So, no national search for the best OC fit at the end of the season?
No interviews of candidates with new ideas?
Instead, IU football gives the full-time OC position to a coach who hasn't been an OC in 11 years?
I love how we collectively come together to root for Princeton of all teams as an “underdog” when their team and fan base is largely made up of current and future hedge fund managers
