Connel Ferry, near Oban Scotland. Former rail / road bridge which crosses Loch Etive and the Falls of Lora. When opened in 1903 it had a longer span (524ft) than any other railway bridge in the UK except the Forth Bridge. Since 1966 used only by road traffic.

Getting trapped in the gloom of Lancashire is a nightmare at the best of times but the traffic congestion in Horwich yesterday was ludicrous. I thought the Reebok had won plaudits for transport planning and convenience? Valley Parade wins hand down, a sobering thought. #BCAFC
