i'm seeing some p1/2 remake ""hopium"" around again and i really just don't see the purpose. if you like classicsona, i struggle to see how reload and the bit that we've seen of revival have convinced you that atlus would do them justice

i think some sort of checkpoint system to prevent 2% crits at the end of the map is a good thing, i just don't want it to be a rewind. SD had the perfect system and i think it should be the standard across basically all FE games. that or the save staff from TRS lol

i don't really mind the mere existence of the turnwheel somewhere in fire emblem but it has negative knock-on effects on the balancing the uses should lower with difficulty, until it's just disabled and replaced with on-map save points like in shadow dragon on the hardest mode

I think itβs funny how discussion of FEs 1-5, even 9 and 10 gets into interesting game design philosophy with friction and emergence, and then when people say CQ or engage has the best gameplay itβs the same way people say Persona 5 is the greatest game ever made
