Within each of us lies the ability to do anything we set our minds to. We just have to be brave enough to try. Proud. #ProjectEDucate 🚴🏻🇺🇸 https://t.co/qZyV2kpfJj

“Don’t be a dick.” One of the many takeaways from a stroke survivor session at #UKSF25, about how we can create SAFE spaces for patients. Soon followed by the poignant reminder that, “Anyone in this room could be the next survivor.” Don’t take it for granted that you’re not.

We took on challenge knowing that both of us covering 154KM non stop, meant a high chance of failure. Ultimately, after almost 20 hours on our feet non stop, we called it a day. Grateful to all for their donations. Looking forward to having another crack at the WHW soon.

Attended last week's GPA Pride brunch not as a sportswriter but as a gay man. And so I never intended to write about the day. But such was the courage displayed by the men present, I’d be letting myself down if I didn’t use my platform to follow their lead https://t.co/EvRR8YhdJt

Staff writer Eoghan Cormican had plenty to fill his notebook at the GPA's Pride event - but he wasn't there as a journalist. He attended as a gay man. This was not a day of chasing stories untold,...

Unfortunately, this is not the first time the Camogie Association has shown itself to be out of touch with its playing membership.

It's fascinating to see where technology could take neurological rehabilitation. We're currently researching what brain activity looks like when patients are using exoskeletons. The end goal in the research field is an assistive gait device powered by a patients brain signals.

Two months in and I’ve learned that this PhD is going to require the same approach of that which got me across the U.S. on two wheels. Consistency, perseverance and delayed gratification. https://t.co/1uWq0H7VZA.Physiotherapy students keeping me on my toes in the classroom too!

Todays goal: Being a teenager is hard; let’s try make being a teenager a little less hard. Resilence, reframing setbacks and the importance of expression. A nod to @seanmgpo1996 and @StFiniansSwords for prioritising their players health both on and off the field.

It’s good to do hard things. In November I’ll be returning to UCD to undertake a PhD examining the use of neural bio-signals in robotic gait rehabilitation. Scary to leave employment in your thirties but I’ve never been afraid to take a leap of faith. Grateful to be able to.
