Hate seeing this news regarding HPAI. Our teams are working hard to make sure this is an isolated case.
VDACS has confirmed the state’s first positive case of HPAI in a commercial turkey flock in Rockingham Co. and is working with @Virginiapoultry & @USDA_APHIS on a joint incident response. All involved in poultry production should review biosecurity plans. https://t.co/NOvbaDrxoq

Delegate Joe Johnson was one of the kindest people to ever serve in public office. He was an advocate for SWVA and was universally liked. It was one of the highlights of my professional career to serve my first term in the House alongside Joe. He will be greatly missed.
