After reading @AbigailShrier's "Bad Therapy," I'm convinced we're overdiagnosing and overmedicating our kids.
You need to find the consent form and opt out (if it's not hidden somehow). And then make sure your children tell you any time they are seen by any counselor, social worker, therapist, nurse, medical provider, etc. It might be the only way to fight this...

Once again the UK is showing itself to be the voice of reason over the US regarding the trans issue. The US Dept. of Ed needs a similar policy: tell parents if their child is claiming to be trans unless there is a "risk of harm." And...as mentioned below, DO one OR the other:
As they should. As for the “risk of harm,” it needs to be clear they either file a report with CPS because the risk is imminent or they tell the parents. It should not be up to the discretion of the school. This is none of their business. Parents have a right to know. FULL STOP.
