Six hours in, and I think Chrono Trigger might be that rare example of a perfect game. Not "perfect as in I really like it" but objectively perfect? I can't think of a single tiny change that would improve it.

As a programmer, I'll never understand this. To me, programming is something most people can pick the basics up via a few books or online courses, whereas producing art better than a stickman is, to me at least, arcane wizardry only a select few can do, and should command big $$$

My thoughts on Ghost of Tsushima after about 25 hours:
It's... ok. Very pretty, very well-made, but suffers from a very safe, Ubisoft-esque structure. It's a solid game but not something I'd consider a classic.

That's an excellent point. Especially as smaller releases can often be more reliant on their writing than on, say, graphical fidelity or a zillion gameplay mechanics, so it's the ones with quality writing that are more likely to rise to the top.
