I really wish older games were more available and accessible. It’s insane that older games just fade into obscurity. There needs to be better preservation for the history of gaming. New games don’t always cut it for me. Sometimes I just wanna play something old.

I’ve tried to get into Tears Of The Kingdom multiple times, but I just do not click with it.
It feels messy and disorganized to me. Like a cake with too many ingredients to the point that it lacks any distinct flavor.
I enjoyed BOTW more; it seemed to have a stronger identity.

The ONLY reason I have ever bought a new platform is for games that I can only get on that platform. I’ve never purchased a console for any other reason. Exclusives sell consoles. Without exclusives what makes a console valuable? Games are the lifeblood of the console experience.

From Software’s understanding of building a mythology is what separates them from their peers. Miyazaki is similar to Tolkein, and his games are more akin to the Silmarillion than The Lord Of The Rings; worlds with histories that you only understand through observation and study.

-A vehicle that’s not super fast, but doesn’t rely on stamina

I’m lvl 36 today, and boy do I feel it. I’m so over leveled my back hurts all the time, and I can’t even remember the main quest anymore. I run around doing side shit; met lots of cool NPCs in this place though, and i’m surprised I’ve actually made this far. Needs an easy mode.

Diablo 4 is a damn good video game
The atmosphere is incredible. There’s a weight to the world. The music is well done, the voice acting is dramatic and effective, the side quests feel meaningful and fun. I’m having a good time with it.

When I hear the terms “outdated” and “needs modernized”, I think oh, so homogenized?
All games do not need to feel “modern”. Games need to feel fresh, and sometimes that can mean making old ideas new again. For instance, I’d love more “new” fixed camera horror games 🤷♂️
i refuse to write "outdated" in my reviews, because i don't know what that means for video games.
to me, if i play a game where the right analog stick doesn't control the camera, i wouldn't call it outdated. i would just learn the game and then play it that way, because that's

The Witcher 3 is a game that walks the line between realism and modern impressionism. When I say stuff like "style over realism", this is what I mean. The color palette is very distint. It feels like a video game, while also being absolutely stunning. This is art🤌

Helldivers 2 was one of the best weekends of gaming I’ve had since the old Halo LAN party days.
I was definitely annoyed by the server issues. But once I got in, I was In all night. The sheer joy of blowing stuff up with your buddies is straight up dopamine.

Played some Titanfall 2 multiplayer yesterday and had almost no wait time between matches. Steam DB shows a daily peak of 10k players, which is more than enough to keep the games flowing.
Still one of the best multiplayer games. It’s amazing how gorgeous and fluid it still is.

Metro Exodus is such a methodical game. I love taking things slow, being stealthy, checking my gear, using my map, ect; lots of little interactive mechanics

The amount game variety in the PC space is staggering; and the ability to customize these games in terms of graphics and mods is incredibly freeing. Add in the unshackled approach of being able to use almost any peripheral you desire, and it’s a truly liberating experience.

My DREAM game is a single player open world PIRATE game, in the vein of Rockstar Games. Think Arthur Morgan, but with the open seas. The ship is your home, upgrading it & maintaining it; Boarding, plundering, ship & sword fighting, shanties, ect

Just finished basic training in Helldivers 2. I did not realize how hilarious this game was. It's got a great tone. Laughed so hard at that intro. Really dig the mechanics, too. I think this is gonna be an awesome trip. Also, shout out to the music for being amazing!

Yakuza 0 has definitely grabbed my attention. I see why it's such a beloved series. SEGA has something magic with their ability to fuse arcady fun with masterful cinematic storytelling. It's a great blend of serious and goofy, tonal alchemy similar to Metal Gear Solid. I'M IN!

Helldivers 2 is a game I didn’t know I needed. It’s a game that when I’m playing it, i’m smiling, and when I’m not playing, I’m still smiling from thinking about it
It’s a game that’s challenging, and has lots of tactile feedback. It’s strategic and also lighthearted and goofy.

With Survival Horror games, I prefer finding everything in the environment, as opposed to having a store where you can buy stuff. It adds to the overall exploration and excitement of finding something new, imo

PC gaming is about the freedom to play pretty much anything you want however you want, building your own rig and upgrading until your hearts content, the great PC gaming community, cheap games, and the huge modding community around hundreds of games. It’s so much more than power.

Most 3rd person shooters implement a cover system these days, but taking cover and shooting is one of the most simple yet satisfying mechanics in a video game to me.
