Maybe had the most depressing interaction with a middle aged white woman while working at a movie theater today. She asked me if Killers of the Flower Moon “pushes a political agenda” and said “all I want is to be entertained, not to be suffocated in politics, y’know?”
First look at Darren Aronofsky’s new movie ‘POSTCARD FROM EARTH’.
The movie only plays on the largest screen on Earth, inside the Sphere in Las Vegas.

I told her that the movie was based on a real genocide of a tribe of Indigenous people, and she kept asking the same question and wondering if they “angled the story for the left.” Like, sorry that this genocide of people of color doesn’t see white people too fondly
The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon 😆 Starting Oct 13th you’ll be able to experience the concert film in theaters in North America! Tickets are on sale now at
@Goldxn_Violin
Also why are all of these always about international movies, as if everywhere else makes “pretentious” movies. I love how Hollywood has made everyone xenophobic
Aftersun spoilers: every time I see Sophie and Calum finally hug at the “LOVE” crescendo of Under Pressure, I just think about Sophie trying to grab onto any remnant of Calum and not let go, but it’s the only moment she can find, and it’s their last.
the funniest part of the Karsten hate to me is that people just hate him for those reviews that go viral for no reason. He's really not that bad, just a bit cringeworthy idk
PERFECT DAYS.
A film from Wim Wenders starring Cannes Best Actor winner Kōji Yakusho.
Japan's official entry for Best International Feature Film at the 2024 Academy Awards.
Opens 11/10 in NYC. Everywhere 2024.
🎟️:
You can hear Calum trying his hardest to comfort and be present for Sophie, but this freedom Sophie has is only possible through the freedom he lost after having her so young. Fucking heartbreaking
Opinions and all that or whatever, but I just don’t understand how ppl can get followings on here for saying hot takes and just acting like explaining themselves and discussing with someone is something insecure ppl do.
Go see TAR in a theater
Go see TRIANGLE OF SADNESS in a theater
Go see DECISION TO LEAVE in a theater
Go see BANSHEES OF INISHERIN in a theater
Go see EO in a theater
Go see HOLY SPIDER in a theater
Yes it’s a lot of great movies, but is our March Madness and we deserve it.
The English-language voice cast for Hayao Miyazaki’s ‘THE BOY AND THE HERON’ includes:
• Christian Bale
• Dave Bautista
• Gemma Chan
• Willem Dafoe
• Karen Fukuhara
• Mark Hamill
• Robert Pattinson
• Florence Pugh
Mr Robot is still an unmatched TV show but I think this already acclaimed shot exemplifies why it’s one of the best. The music, the lighting, the tension of this moment, the fucking crosswalk sign counting down to the shootout… absolutely incredible in the most effective way
This scene might be my favorite out of the entirety of Nope. The look OJ gives Em is one of the best visual set-ups early on for an absolutely emotional gut punch. Keke and Daniel fucking NAILED IT
These ADHD riddled, unfunny, unintelligent, ignorant, and offensive streamers like adin fucking wish they had an ounce of the talent of a streamer like Etika
I love how Fraser’s performance here isn’t necessarily The Whale (a movie I despise), but it’s more emulating a old baptist preacher yelling over their church. Even the mannerisms feel straight out of some evangelical speech
Okay I adore Avatar 2 sooooo much like I wanna rewatch it now but I do hope the score is a bit more noticeable in the next movie. Big fan of the themes but I desperately want the vibes of that ambient trailer music in this first IMAX trailer
While she’s only in it for a select few shots, Sheila Atim leaves such a profound impact on All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt that’s imprinted onto its filmic DNA. Caresses and embraces remembered through decades and tied to an everlasting home.
Bro makes several pedophilic comments in that crazy ass thread and proceeds to end it with the one Monogatari OP with the oversexualized child. Unbelievable
Andrew Dominik just lays it out there that he’s only focused on portraying a woman’s suffering, and nothing else. Not only is this exploiting Marilyn’s pain, it’s making her pain an extension of Andrew’s own gaze rather than be a part of who she was. Very very gross.
Been trying to figure out what exactly to say about Ryuichi Sakamoto. Still trying right now but I did cry while putting this little tribute together. R.I.P to the fisherman of sound ❤️
I think the fact that The Idol is one of the most boring shows on tv should be the only thing ppl mention about it. If you want sleazy art that has purpose, watch a Noe movie or like, idk, literally any giallo or Italian sex comedy
As much as I have some friends who are Swifties and are genuinely good, caring ppl, the Swifties I see on this app are some of the most despicable ppl. I don’t have an issue with Taylor, I have an issue with YOU. Seek therapy.
Still cannot believe Coogler homaged Come and See in Black Panther Wakanda Forever. Sure, it's a bit different, but that rewind effect makes it pretty undeniable
This video injected a shame into me so strong that I struggle to function on a daily basis without collapsing to the floor and choking on my own saliva
@UrsulaMunozS13
Agreed but I don’t think it’s egregious enough to warrant the amount of “I fucking hate Karsten Runquist so much” I see daily. Definitely deserving of criticism but he seems like a fine enough guy
Got off work to see this going around a lot more and I will just further state that the “most depressing” part is obviously hyperbole because this is a common occurrence for customer service jobs. Ppl would stop saying it’s fake if they actually worked a minimum wage job

@bacon5237
Only saying this to support this kind of shortsightedness, but I saw him qt a dude who wasn’t able to fully see the 3D in Spy Kids 3 when he was younger because of sight impairment, and Apologist said “well maybe 3D isn’t for you!” Sometimes he can be a bit off idk
Brendan Fraser's performance in
#KillersOfTheFlowerMoon
earned a hugely divisive reaction.
Martin Scorsese says: "He brought the whole scene down on Leo. It was perfect...he had that girth. He’s big in the frame at that time. He’s a wonderful actor."
With some of the Perfect Days hate I’m seeing, I remember how irritatingly sardonic the Aftersun hate was last year. I really try to separate tastes from personalities, but damn they made it really hard
As much as I respect all of your opinions and have never been one to publicly disagree much on this website, reading tweets like “if you hate Old, I really don’t understand what you want from movies” is so annoying to constantly read. Honestly this tweet sucks with all movies
Look, I hate people that say this and it has legitimately no value online and offline whatsoever. However, it’s undeniable that Daisy Ridley in Sometimes I Think About Dying is the ultimate literally me character
I love how Charlotte uses mirrors and reflections to show the glimpses of Calum she vaguely remembers or imagines. Whether it’s him watching tapes in the mirror or expressing a sadness he wants to keep hidden, this reflection gives adult Sophie and the viewer a new perspective.
Even ignoring winners, this couldn’t be farther from the truth. I desperately need ppl to remember how bad the 2021 Oscar’s were, or even the 2022 Oscar’s like holy shit
