"Model"ling of human development has me in awe! Field is expanding with new models but how should we interpret them and what they offer? Was very challenging (as a fresh postdoc out of oven) but rewarding ride with @BernaSozen_ and @jvveenvliet Hope you enjoy!
New Review alert 📢! Collaborative effort by the @teamstembryo @mpicbg & @BernaSozen_ @YaleGenetics labs. About human models of embryo development (#stembryos) - the opportunities, pitfalls & (bright) future. Towards #Carnegie in 4D? https://t.co/rO2E5gYQs5 (1/7)

Dear academic colleagues, if you have any Turkish (& Syrian) students, please reach out to them, ask them how they r doing & consider extending/canceling their deadlines (if there is any). No matter which part of the country they r from they r most probably shaken to the core. +

You can still donate! The destruction is huge and the survivors are in need! Please be also mindful that your Turkish/Syrian colleagues/students might need moral support. Being away from home at these times could be harder than ever.
Turkey has issued a Level 4 alarm, calling for international assistance. You can help by donating to the local organizations: - AKUT : https://t.co/t0T2Oy2kTV - AHBAP : https://t.co/en8cAl2zcQ - AFAD :

It is really sad to hear graduate students are to share rooms @kocuniversity dorms. Ph.D. is already a stressful and demanding career. In Turkey, it is worse due to barely met living conditions and very low salaries. Science shouldn't be reduced to producing data no matter what.
