If I recall correctly, can't rmbr I looked into this company or bookoff, there is limited growth potential for opening new second hand stores in JP imo. They still compete with GEO Holdings (2681) and Bookoff (9278), and other used stores. All competing for new stores. I think
Hard Off Corp $2674.JP has been going off hard in the last 5 years. Decent growth and ROIC, and still trades at 12x P/E, 6x EBITDA with a solid dividend yield. Would imagine this is a counter-cyclical biz too... anyone know why it's so cheap??

Well, let's just say I took profit at +50% fml This company simply sold eggs. Reward-to-headache ratio unmatched on Hokuryo 1384 I should find more companies like this.

Okay, this may or may not be a controversial opinion. Having started the Japanese Company Handbook challenge and finishing all of the tickers that start with 1xxx... I see going through the handbook as a practice to make us feel closer to Buffett. It's like the edomae sushi

About a month ago I walked into an alo store for market research purposes. Immediately got greeted and directed to the men's section in the back, where a male employee assisted me. First impression: great service (9/10) It was 30 minutes before closing, so they weren't busy.
