Last week @DCMS confirmed that the CWF will support the rebuilding of social infrastructure in some of England’s most deprived areas 🎉This is a massive achievement and concludes our 7 year campaign:

We are still celebrating last week’s announcement that the CWF will receive total funding of £175 million from dormant assets and @TNLComFund🤝 This crucial investment in England’s most disadvantaged neighbourhoods will provide support for community-led decision making 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

Last week, Alliance members and guests came together at our end of year parliamentary reception Listen to some of our speakers reflect on the Community Wealth Fund campaign and how the funding could make a difference in the neighbourhoods with greatest need ⬇️

Finally we heard from Barbara Slasor who explained the importance of community-led projects like @BishAuckBigLoc and her involvement in the CWF campaign Thank you to all of our speakers for supporting our campaign for long-term investment in the places that need it most (4/4)

Lord Bassam @SteveTheQuip then gave an overview of some key milestones of our campaign and future opportunities for dormant asset funding (3/4)

We then heard from Samantha Jones, Head of Community Wealth Fund @TNLComFund who outlined the need to build social capital and civic capacity to support community-led decision making (2/4)

We heard from some excellent speakers at our parliamentary reception this week Starting with our host Noah Law MP, who highlighted exactly why we need a #CommunityWealthFund and how the fund could make a difference in doubly disadvantaged neighbourhoods (1/4)

Brilliant to hear Sam Jones from @TNLComFund announce to the @CommWealthFund end of year campaign reception that the new Community Wealth Fund will benefit from additional lottery funds, doubling the size of the programme when it launches (hopefully early next year)
