Folks are going to get very hung up on whether the U.S. "mediated" an India-Pakistan ceasefire, or just helped bridge the gap and encourage the two to talk. Personally, I don't think it matters much. India was compelled to send a message after Pahalgam and that message was sent.

Joking aside, I have no idea if any planes were downed. I doubt it's 5 but could it be 1-2? Sure. We just lost a fighter because an aircraft carrier turned too quickly. Shit happens in conflict zones. It's a non-stealth fighter. I just haven't seen any hard evidence yet.
