I have a weight room rule. 90% of the songs played are typical rap. If you ask me, “can we listen to rap today?” I will play the most off the wall songs imaginable. Today? Bluegrass covers of metal songs. Kids bop and vegietales have been previous choices.

In less than 5 minutes I can watch a college or high school football practice to determine if they have a winning culture. Body language, pre-practice prep and focus, how/when coaches take the field, are the little things in order, language, music, tempo, effort. Player led.
