We are out of the flood trap. @ETSUFootball is beyond the flood/headed to Charleston. We arrive at 5AM. We were stranded for 14 hours. It got very scary on some low ground for a few hours, we had to find high ground. Shoutout to our bus drivers, athletic trainers, staff, officers.

Honestly, proud as heck of our staff and team. We coached/played hard and had a 12 point lead with 2 minutes left against the FCS giant. In my opinion, the ball absolutely did not bounce our way. We were prepared and got unlucky. Wouldn’t change a single call. I got their back.

1. Why are the equipment managers giving the players the flags? Put them away after pregame. 2. Stop planting the flags at other team’s stadiums. U look dumb and classless. 3. If you don’t like it, recruit better and play better and coach better DURING THE GAME. Everyone is.

We had Stetson in camps/visits. I did 3 home visits! We thought he was an elite, spread-option QB for FCS/G5. Honestly, was coming down to us and Samford, full rides. Never forget him calling before NSD, “Im walking on at UGA.” Great player, person. Deserves success. Heart > Size.
Stetson Bennett is a @30for30 episode happening in real time. Deep south Georgia kid. Walk-on's to his favorite team then transfers to JuCo. Transfers back after Justin Fields leaves for OSU. Works hard & fights his way up depth chart again. Can win 1st title in 40 years for UGA.

1 thing of note in today’s college athletics model. Recruits, coaches, players alike: never burn a bridge. Everything comes full circle. Make hard decisions. Be kind. Make the best decisions for the culture of the place you work or play. But don’t burn bridges. Relationships last.

I worked for @bobby_lamb 4 seasons. Learned a ton from him/staff on how to be a head coach. These stand out:.1.Consistency. He never had a bad day. Ever. 2. How to treat people/employees/coworkers/janitor. His door was always open. 3.Confidence. We always felt prepared to win.

Used to practice 3rd and long for 10 minutes on a Wednesday. Dumb. Only happens 1.3x per game. That was the biggest takeaway for this study for us 2 years ago. And 2 & 10 post incomplete needs to be practiced a lot.

Very proud of my Dad @dajacket1 18 straight region titles, new state record. His teams have not lost a region game since 2001. More importantly he has impacted so many players and built a foundation for life. Rock solid belief in a plan comes to fruition every season.
