Truth.
If you can see your post players numbers unobstructed then give them the ball. Every pass in doesn’t mean they’re going to score. Or even try to score. But defense will always react & it allows offense to relocate. Give them touches!.

Amen!! It’s a major part of my analytic system.
Watched some high-level hoops at the @FIBA U19s in Brno. What stood out right away? Passing. It’s non-negotiable—every player, every position. The international game demands it. We need to raise the bar in the U.S. and make it a bigger part of how we train and play.

Absolutely true. Everyone wants to win on the scoreboard & get a bigger job. But those truly focused on the players well being, growth, future, are real power brokers & winners. Those that are not genuine, create drama & only care about themselves & the next job, need not apply.
COACHES: The title "Coach” is a privilege. You have both a great opportunity and responsibility. Don't ever take it for granted. With great power comes great responsibility. You have an amazing opportunity to influence so many people. Be a positive leader. Stay encouraged.

A good high school coach understands something vital: you're coaching fragile moments that will stick with your players for life. It’s not just about the game—it’s about who they become in the process. Wins fade; solid humans don’t.

Culture isn’t a quote on the wall. It comes from your behaviors - what you do and what you allow. Eliminate the habits that kill it:.1: Blaming.2: Negativity.3: Lack of Communication.4: Lack of Trust. Culture is the standard you uphold - every day.

Players and coaches; Character matters. Character always matters.
Brad Stevens said, "This game is about how you act as a teammate.". "This game is about what you do from the standpoint of supporting one another embracing roles accepting roles.". Being a great teammate means being a person of character. It's not always easy having WE > Me.
