I love watching all of the D-line training videos hands, footwork, pass-rush moves, all of it. I still have yet to see anyone teaching kids how to take on a double team or play true two-gap techniques. Are we in the era of the Air Raid defense?

Versatility with pullers is huge in setting up your OL for success. I really like Power T over Power G vs. the Tite Front; it gives the guard better leverage on the 3-tech and limits run-throughs. I also love mixing in counter pull variations: G/T, G/Y, G/F, T/Y, ETC..

FINAL: Owensboro Catholic 41, Beechwood 40 Tigers can’t convert the two-point conversion for the win. Incredible comeback by Beechwood comes up just short.

Assistant coaches, the biggest thing you can do for your program is understand that your job is to support and promote the he agenda of the head coach. If you have your own agenda, you need to step away.
The two biggest leadership priorities for head coaches this off-season: 1. STAFF CULTURE: raising and clarifying standards for coaches. 2. STAFF LEADERSHIP: training every member of the staff how to lead in alignment with the HC, the culture of the program, and team needs.
