How many times will a kid reclassify before they realize they’re not a scholarship player? It is ok to play D3 basketball. Yes, some kids may reclassify for high academic D3 but some players and parents need to start being realistic.

Too many AAU coaches telling kids to go to prep school or post grad. Why? For an extra year with their AAU program maybe. I’m still trying to wrap my head around why kids are going to prep school or doing a post grad year to end up at the same level. Make it make sense.

One of the main reasons I stopped coaching AAU at the high school level was because of the parents. Too many parents are secretly hustling their kids off to the highest bidders. Hard to focus on coaching when these kids when there’s a lack of commitment from parents and players.
