Preston Edmead chose to play his college ball close to home at Hofstra, and got the starting nod in his first game. The point guard began his career on a good note as he finished with 16 points and 6 assists. Edmead was a key cog in @WNSBVBasketball’s Class A title last year.

Intriguing New England story in New Orleans’ massive upset win last night. 6’7 JUCO transfer Tavaj “TJ” Cope posted 7pts-4reb-1blk in 14 minutes off the bench in his U-NO debut. Cope was an unheralded prospect out of Fenway HS in Boston that just did 2 years at South Plains.

BU Freshman and Needham MA native Sam Hughes had 21 points in his debut last night, helping the Terriers to an OT victory over Northeastern. The wing shooter knocked down five trey’s throughout the game, showing how lethal of a catch and shoot threat he is.

Longtime #E75 alum Andrew Alekseyenko with 14 points in his NCAA debut!
Colgate freshman Andrew Alekseyenko finished with 14 points (6/12 FG) in his debut last night against #22 Michigan State. The big forward got things rolling by knocking down a catch-and-shoot three, while getting aggressive inside and finishing physically throughout the game.

Fairfield freshman Brandon Benjamin kicked off his NCAA career with a bang pouring in 18 and 10. Benjamin’s paint presence and defensive versatility were huge for STM’s run to the NPC title game. Finished as the highest non HM ranked player in the @NERRHoops CT ‘25 rankings.
