The only money being influenced with the "Sell The Team" t-shirts are the vendors who are making the shirts. I hope they sell, like anyone else, but it needs to be to the right person/group. not Leonsis.

There were only 2 teams ahead of the Nats on the waiver wire. Rockies and White Sox. White Sox claimed both Peguero and Hudson.
Some bullpen names that have been DFA'd post trade deadline that the Nats might have interest in:. Elvis Peguero - MIL.Bryan Hudson - MIL.Sean Hjelle - SFG. Hudson would be my favorite, LHP who's having control issues but had 62 Ks to 17 BBs last yr. 4 yrs of control beyond '25.

But hey, we have a Nats moderator encouraging fans to harass players because they think it'll somehow make the Lerners spend more money. If there's anything that will eventually get me to stop following the Nats its the highly toxic fan base.
In a series of posts on Instagram, Andrew Chafin’s wife shared some of the families struggles, including that she’s had death threats to her kids because of a bad game. I truly can never understand why people take things that far. Hope nothing but the best for him and for them❤️

@klwoodjr I just had the usher in Section 403 admonish me for “booing”. Apparently “booing” and calling Brzykcy a “bum” is prohibited conduct at Nats Park…the entire operation is a joke!.

Im not sure a word of this is true or even based in logic.
Bell and Lowe’s playing time is both irrelevant at this point, and if it were up to me I would at least DFA Lowe. He’s been terrible, is going to be non tendered, and this allows Wood/Crews/Lile to rotate at DH. Especially helpful with Crews coming back from injury.

Swan and Liñan yet to be ranked, but both were spoken highly of by BA so I imagine theyll be in that 20-30 range.

Honestly good for DeBartolo if he plans to stay as GM. shows other GMs he wont back down under pressure. Will still get a good return OR the Nats will be competitive.

The Nats have 19 prospects rated 45 overall or better according to @MLBPipeline . That's WITHOUT the draft haul. MLB Pipeline rated the Nats draftees:. Eli Willits- 60.Ethan Petry - 50.Landon Harmon - 50.Miguel Sime Jr - 45.Coy James - 45. So thats 24/30 prospects 45+.

Bell will likely be DFAd and unconditionally released to let him sign with whoever he chooses. No sense in keeping him on the roster when you can get Chaparro ABs.

My guess is Swan and Liñan slot in the Top 15 of the Nats Top 30. Likely somewhere between 11 and 15.

One question I have for 2026 with the addition of Christian Franklin. What does it mean for their immediate plans for Call and Young?. Do you trade Call now when his stock is highest this yr? Do you trade Young in the offseason?. Nats have Wood, Crews, Hassell, Lile and Franklin.

If Im an owner/GM and a player is asking for $6 mil, but I dont think theyre worth $6 mil. I first try to counter. If that doesnt work then the next option is a deferral where I put up $6 mil but I get back ~$500k in 3 years, making the deal more palatable and getting the player.
Deferring allows the player to get the amount theyre looking for while ownership gets to earn interest on the money they defer. All $6 million goes into escrow so the Lerners pay the same as they would giving him all $6 mil at once.
