James Franklin on having favorites: "People wonder if I'm going to have favorites. The answer to that is yes. My favorites are high production and low maintenance coaches, players, and staff."

This is fantastic from Mike Elko! āMy job [as a coach] is to always be opposite the moment.ā Leaders are either fighting chaos or fighting complacency.

Reporter asked Mike Vrabel why it's important for him to coach and aggressive style Vrabel: "I think anything in life you're gonna have to certainly put some chips in the pot to be able to win something. We can't sit around and wait and hope they just hand it to you. Sometimes

One thing I'm seeing more and more that is disturbing at high school games. While I am not a fan of screaming at coaches, they (we) are adults. Losing it on a 15-18 year old playing a game as an adult speaks more to your own issues than theirs.

I asked Lincoln Riley about the most important lesson heās learned as a play-caller. āYou canāt be scared. You canāt,ā Riley said. āYouāve gotta call what you believe is best in the moment. Not what fans think or announcers think or anybody else.ā

"When I hear about guys sleeping in their office I wonder what they hell they're doing there. Cause the game ain't that hard. The work will always be there, your kids won't. I tell my coaches, if you miss a recital or little league game... I'll fire you." - Bruce Arians

A mentor of mine gave me the best advice I could have ever received⦠he said āyouāll never win enough- no matter how much you win it will never be enough- whether for those judging you or yourself- so it better be about something more than just wins and lossesā
Dont know if I can think of a time an athlete at the top of his sport has been this open and honest about their craft

You canāt overstride by pushing off backfoot!!! You can only over stride by reaching the front foot!!! (Just try it! The body will only go where it naturally can go unless u force it past that point!)
Stop pushing off to stride and you will throw more efficiently. #quarterbacktraining #qbtraining #qb #quarterback

Had a blast at the Clemson football clinic, getting to listen to some awesome football coaches, but more importantly getting to see one of the best to sling it in @mann_football history, living out his dream. Iām so incredibly proud of you @ethananders_qb!

My tech was to learn the WHOLE concept⦠NOT just 1 position at a time!! Understand how the concept works together instead of just trying to memorize player routes!! When I coached, it was the same way - I taught & had all players learn the entire concept so they could
@kurt13warner What strategies did you use the most to remember plays? What would you suggest at the HS level?

Coaching is problem-solving. In many cases, the best problem-solvers in the profession come up with non-traditional application of scheme that has been run for decades. This is why continuous growth & learning is critical in developing effective solutions. ~
