Apparently this is what Grok thinks.
Q5) Ask grok what would be the cornerstones of your S&C philosophy and share! #ironspeedchat.

Q4) The live by and die by athletics approach to kids. Sports is what you do not who you are. Sports has a bigger role in your life than college athletics. As for my previous answer show them what good S&C programs are and ask them to be apart of a high level program.
Q4) If we know the challenges athletes face and the challenges coaches face, how do we address and solve the problems/challenges to improve and enhance training and performance (Q2 & Q3)? #ironspeedchat.

A3) The biggest challenge is what kids think is S&C vs what S&C actually is. Attribute misinterpretation to social media in someways. Kids don’t understand S&C is progressive, consistent, and in our case development of LTAD.
Q3) What are the modern day challenges for coaches in coaching adolescent athletes? (Question inspired from Dr. Hunter Ward) #ironspeedchat.

A2) Wide range from kids that are 4 feet tall and weight 60 pounds to a 6’0 300 lbs lineman.
Q2) What does the modern day adolescent athlete look like in your weight room? (Question inspired by Dr. Hunter Ward) #ironspeedchat.

A1) First and foremost safe practices in the weightroom; abiding by rules, following lift and coaching direction, and being efficient and on task.
Q1) What does competency in the weight room look like for your athletes? #ironspeedchat.

A5) Front Squats and any single leg work.
Q5) Is there one movement you program that your athletes express the most disdain for? #ironspeedchat.

A4) Too strict to “follow the program” and not find a balance for what need to be done. Not make a big deal about one missed lift. Sport skill supersedes weightroom, we are support to the actual sport.
Q4) What’s one in-season mistake you made early in your coaching career that you’ve since corrected? #ironspeedchat.

A3) Plan on using jump monitoring this year, have done subjective surveys in the past and have seen some benefits in my current setting. Try to ask the big three in person Sleep, Hydration/Nutrition and Stress.
What metrics or signs do you use to monitor athlete fatigue and readiness during the season? #ironspeedchat.

A2) Relatively like to stay anywhere from 75-90% of absolute 1RM in season, but with HS athletes you never know if you are getting the floor/ceiling for each individual. Manage stress best possible within the weightroom, have conversations with athletes to adjust needs.
Q2) How do you adjust training volume and intensity during the competitive season to avoid athlete burnout? #ironspeedchat.

A1) Dose needs, @Coach_TWebb once said that chasing strength should always be a concept for his programs which I’m taking more to thought. But I try and listen to my athletes. Long practices/weekend tournaments then I make sure to adjust dosage for short/long term benefits.
Q1) How do you approach in-season training to maintain strength and power without causing unnecessary fatigue? #ironspeedchat.
