Prof. David Kahane: The University of Alberta communicated that they “wanted to show” a “more caring and student-centred” response than elsewhere. “I was told repeatedly . . . that the university would not clear the encampment unless there was violence.”

On May 11, Edmonton Police Services cleared the Palestine solidarity encampment on the University of Alberta Main Quad. According to U of A political science professor David Kahane, those involved are banned from campus for one year.

Israel has killed more than 200 aid workers in 6 months. Netanyahu: Stop murdering innocent people.

I post this with a bit of trepidation, but the question needs to be asked: had the individuals in those vans were non-combatant Palestinian Gazans, would any of us have heard about it? The question is not rhetorical.

He didn't "die". The IOF executed him and his mother, Dr Yosra Almaqadma while destroying Alshifa hospital.

Would he say the same if it were Russia that killed the aid workers? And starved Ukrainians? And destroyed their infrastructure? Then kept stealing more and more land? Oh, and struck Finland, Latvia, and Georgia? AND bombed the Polish embassy in Norway?

If a state seems incapable of military restraint, and reluctant to abide by international law, should it be receiving more military aid? Should it be allowed to possess nuclear weapons? What does it say about its allies?
