40 years ago today was ‘Black Friday’ as a series of Tornados tore across southern Ontario killing 12 people and causing millions in damage. Dad and I took refuge in our barn as a large section of the roof was torn off…our neighbours lost their entire barn above the stable…
Today marks the 40-year anniversary of the deadly tornado outbreak in Southern Ontario. Over a dozen people died, including 8 in Barrie from a powerful EF4 tornado with winds topping 400 km/h. The day would be remembered as "Black Friday".
