The MOU isn’t worth the toilet paper it’s printed on.
@barbarafriesen Any project that goes through the Major Projects Office MUST have B.C. and First Nations consent and we will all work to ensure our B.C. coast is protected.

I’m really proud of our APP TEAM. After 85% of the real party members stood and cheered for independence we rattled the forces of crony federalism so hard that they organized buses that they filled with voters paid in by people not wanting the current gravy train disturbed.
@DonBraid Don, you are writing fiction now. 5/9 people elected were on the Darrell Kommick ticket. Two others on the Smith Ticket favour Independence as does Rob Smith. The fact that 5 people on the grass roots ticket were still elected when the Smith team flooded the AGM on Saturday by

“And in the meantime, expect more consolidation in the Canadian oil patch as companies chase efficiencies in a tightly controlled marketplace along with the inevitable layoffs that follow. I’m sure that’s not the participation ribbon hard-working Canadians were expecting.”

The big-picture problem with the Ottawa-Alberta energy “Memorandum of Understanding”... Today Alberta Premier Danielle Smith announced the much anticipated “Memorandum of Understanding” between Ottawa and Alberta. She hailed it as a major breakthrough and even suggested it might

The Eastern Canadian media and internal federalist stooges like @jkenney who dismiss Alberta independence based on the lack of a strong “independence party” are blind. The UCP is Alberta’s independence party. @ABDanielleSmith hasn’t caught-on but this movement has legs.

The media hasn’t caught-on to just how mainstream Alberta independence has become here. Conversations around the province have gone from “if we separate” to “when we separate” - and people are making plans. It’s unlikely @ABDanielleSmith will still be Premier by the referendum.
Danielle Smith: "I hope people today feel a lot more confident that Canada works than they did a couple of days ago." UCP convention crowd: LOUD BOOS

Nine Thoughts: 1) @JeffreyRWRath is a hero for speaking truth to power. Cutting his microphone might be the Canadian equivalent of the Soviet moment. 2) It is apparent that @ABDanielleSmith is looking at the CPC leadership. @PierrePoilievre is floundering. Her chief of staff,

Look how teeth-gnashingly angry the “centre left” is about Alberta getting even the faint hope possibility of another export route for Canada’s most valuable product. “Team Canada” was always utter bullshit, and our partners in confederation will pull together to see us fail.

Theo has created some idiotic, offensive images in the not too distant past. This isn’t one of them. This accurately reflects Ottawa’s feelings towards Alberta, and unfortunately is an accurate portrayal of @ABDanielleSmith’s childish willingness to take Carney’s word.

That's false on three counts. 1) Firearms that were designed from the ground-up as hunting rifles, like the below, are included in the bans. 2) Entire sport shooting disciplines, such as three-gun, are suffering because they have few to zero suitable replacements for banned
@timthurley Why show a regulation legal shotgun being used by a hunter presumably in the post? No farmer, hunter or sport shooter is losing the ability to have a gun they need. No one needs militarized replica knockoffs just bc they look cool or Ramboesque.

There is absolutely nothing the Government of Canada doesn't suck at. From complicated social and economic programs to the most basic, fundamental government services, Canadians can suck it while paying luxury salaries to entitled parasites.

Don't forget to check your emergency vehicle kit and top it up with warm blankets, candles, winter gear, an extra change of clothes, and snacks. Welcome back to winter, Canada.

These are the same smooth-brains who will argue we don't need a capable military or a strong alliance with the US because international law will protect us from aggression. It won't. We're protected by our proximity and friendship to US military supremacy. Period.
US has no right to interfere in the internal affairs of Venezuela, or any other sovereign state. It has no right to engage in regime change, which is the prerogative of the Venezuelan people. Any military attack on Venezuela is a violation of the UN Charter & international law.
