Good to see @BellaSankey and her team engaging with some of our recommendations as thousands of our members shared their views on how the City Plan should be updated.
Brighton and Hove City Council is considering a range of measures to crack down on holiday homes in the city. The council says with uncontrolled numbers of properties rented to tourists, local families are struggling to find somewhere to live. More here:

We felt compelled to hand-deliver a letter to @bphillipsonMP this morning as we are seeking clarity on @UKLabour’s pledge to reduce pressures on CAMHS. We also went to share some of the good work happening in our city thanks to our collaboration with @BellaSankey.

We mourn the death of Pope Francis. Inspired by our brothers and sisters @WXSWIAF who met with him three times, we too were looking forward to meeting with him in June, as he’d expressed an interest in finding out more about our work. May he rest in peace & rise in eternal glory.
Today, we remember Pope Francis as an extraordinary leader who exercised power with humility, eschewed the trappings of pretense and prestige, and recognized the dignity of all persons, especially the poor and most vulnerable:

The story: in 2023, we invited decision-makers to Whitehawk to propose a £1 short-hop bus fare so people could access the foodbank. Many were turning down tins at the foodbank as they couldn't carry them home and the bus was too expensive. Thanks to @TrevMu10 for engaging.
Councillors have agreed plans to improve Brighton & Hove’s bus services with cheaper fares, better routes and improved reliability. Read more 👉

One of the proudest policies we’ve introduced has been introducing a mental health counselling pilot in school. In this budget, we’ve committed to extending this pilot!
