This handsome medieval Gothic church was almost converted into a house during the 1980s. Thankfully, we were able to step in and preserve this church for future generations with the help of local supporters. 1/9

The 12th-century crypt chapel at St Olave's Church, Hart Street, London. To the south of the altar you can just see a rather unusual feature: a well! 📸2026

I had the immense privilege of viewing the mortal remains of St. Francis of Assisi tonight before they open to the public for veneration tomorrow. If you are seeing this post, I prayed for you with the relics of St. Francis.

15 km (9.3 mi) of Roman engineering—built with zero mortar. Segovia’s aqueduct is held together by pure precision: 20,400 granite blocks, balanced so tightly that it still stands after nearly two millennia.

St Margaret of Antioch Church, with a sneaky peek of Durham Cathedral. The church is C12 or so and the C15 tower houses three bells, two of which are medieval. #steeplesaturday #durham #england

St. Michael’s Church at Alnwick in Northumberland. The west tower and church are mostly 15th century in date when the church was largely rebuilt following financial support from Henry VI. 📸 #SteepleSaturday #Alnwick #Northumberland
