St Cadfan's, Tywyn, Wales. The church is noted for its Romanesque architecture and for housing the Cadfan Stone (right of pic 4), a stone cross dating from ninth century or earlier which is inscribed with the oldest known written Welsh. 1/2

@coventina62 @EngChurchPics The pebble is flint (even if it don't look like it). It grew in the sediment against a sea-urchin shell (strictly, echinoderm-ologists would refer to it as the test) which was made of calcite. Then the test dissolved and the impression in the silica of the flint remained...
