Grant Wahl was kind. Needlessly kind. I love him and I’ll miss him.
He treated me with a level of respect I didn’t deserve. He gave me an opportunity when I needed one. And most importantly he was kind. Needlessly kind
I’ll miss him. I’m devastated beyond words
As mentioned on today’s postgame show, I will be stepping down from my role as Executive Producer of
@LeBatardShow
and stepping back from my role in the show generally. I will still be connected to Meadowlark in other capacities and cherish my relationship with this great group.
I’ll miss the audience, who has far as I’m concerned love me universally because I muted everyone who said something mean.
But most of all. I’ll miss my coworkers. Just loved going into the building every day and laughing.
I’m doing this to fully focus on my play by play work for MLS and Apple TV. This opportunity is one I’ve been waiting for since I started working in this field 10 years ago. I want to do it right. I just needed more time
Thinking about my friend Grant Wahl today. Imagine many footballing landmarks will pass by that will remind me of him, but none more than the World Cup Final. Miss you, buddy
Canes fans need to do this again next week. Yes it’s noon. Yes it’s Virginia. But these kids deserved a packed stadium again. Played their asses off for this
Incredibly, I’ll be podcasting with Grant Wahl and Landon Donovan after every USMNT World Cup qualifier.
And it’s on the Le Batard & Friends Network!
Really excited for this
@GrantWahl
@landondonovan
In a new partnership with Meadowlark and Le Batard and Friends for every USMNT World Cup qualifier,
@GrantWahl
is joined by
@landondonovan
and
@ChrisWittyngham
to discuss the USMNT’s 0-0 tie at El Salvador to start the World Cup qualifying campaign.

If Argentina get one more and Mexico stay at 2-0. Poland and Mexico would be tied on all of the tiebreakers. It would come down to FIFA Fair Play points for disciplinary record.
By my count, it's Mexico 7 yellow cards to Poland's 4. So Mexico would be out
I can’t thank
@MichaelRyanRuiz
enough for bringing me in at an exhilarating time in this great show’s history. Transitioning from ESPN to independent was an enormous leap and I was eager to make it with the show. Mike is one of my best friends and I’ll miss seeing him every day.
"The Buffalo Bills should be mandated by the NFL to have a dome over their stadium. This shit is ridiculous...Buffalo, as a weather city, should probably not have a football team." – a very spicy

Dan and
@Stugotz790
have been mentors from Day 1. They brought me into this industry and imprinted who I am in this work extraordinarily. But beyond that, they’re some of the best people I know and support me beyond comprehension.
Excited for the start of another MLS season. But it's the first without Grant Wahl. He did so much to help grow the league while not cheerleading for it. His voice continues to be desperately missed. Thinking about him today.
“DID WE JUST SEE WHAT WE THINK WE JUST SAW?!”
Kevin Harlan nearly FELL OUT OF HIS CHAIR. Dan Bonner and
@realStanVG
were STUNNED.
The crew’s reaction to Furman’s dramatic win over Virginia was incredible.
Find remarkable that UM fans still proclaim embarrassment and shock at these losses.
Miami has been a middling ACC program for 15 years. Middling college football programs lose to mid-majors on a regular basis. This is in keeping with who they are now
To grow within this show I grew up listening to provided me pinch myself moments every single day. To work with the best group of people in media was a daily joy. To tap into the extended LAF universe remains surreal

Based on travel costs and weather, expecting a relatively small Dolphins fan contingency at Arrowhead, but if you’re in the area and impervious to pain, it’s a cheap get-in
Read all sorts of incredible stories about Pelé today. Played in 426 games before his 2nd World Cup at age 21. Played in 88 countries. Met over 100 heads of state. His name is synonymous with the sport. Had the chance to talk about him on

Dolphins-Bills set for Saturday night.
Good morning. Here's the 93-yard drive by Tua and the Dolphins yesterday to tie the game at 31, in all its condensed glory.
Tua was 5/5 for 53 yards with an additional 23 yards on the ground.

The US are through to the knockout round of the World Cup! An achievement I honestly didn’t think would happen.

Help me build it out.
