Some balance on the Austin Killips story. Shouldn't need to write a piece like this, but it's needed now more than ever. 🌈 https://t.co/T6czxfx4Wf

Cycling is a sport that has seen its fair share of legal action. Courtroom dramas have seen less time spent under oath than some of cycling’s biggest characters. From the French Senate to the…

The WHITE (!) gilet in this range is £235. What the hell has happened to this beautiful sport
So Rapha leave the WorldTour and launch the "Could've Gone Pro" line...... https://t.co/OwCJ41owm1

One silver lining of ITV losing the Tour rights is not having to listen to the Saint and his disciples so much. One negative is that there's no alternative to Orla and co. spoutung absolute rubbish and having 'banter' (Sean Kelly and select others exempt)

Fascinating insight.
9. One thing that seems so impressive about Tadej is how he is able to have so much power at these races. If you watch his garmin (high numbers) you can see he is doing more power than his rivals. He keeps a higher power than the others which to me shows that he is stronger

Foss is a solid rider. Staune-Mittet has had one year as a pro. It's ridiculously early to judge him yet. Not every L'Avenir or Giro Bio winner is a superstar, the list of those who haven't quite lived up to expectations is far longer than those with exceptional results
Foss - 2019 l’Avenir winner Staune-Mittet - 2022 2nd in l’Avenir & 2023 1st in Baby Giro Both were touted as riders with huge futures, both went to Visma, both failed. Apart from Kooij and Hagenes, Visma’s recent record with developing young riders isn’t great.

ToB, yearly selection should be published for all riders to compete for and should serve the British peleton. Why not pick the 6 best domestic riders from champs or RR series? Riders like Tom Martin or George Kimber? @BritishCycling

A hill I will die on is that national cycling kit should remain the same, throughout time, Olympics or not.
Well I think we should win the medal for most Vibeless Kit at the Olympics. Look how far we have fallen. #Olympics

Back in 2000 - TWENTY FOUR years ago - the UCI set a min. weight of 6.8kg b/c some bikes got close to below 6kg. Today, some pro bikes weigh as much as 7.7kg which is almost 15% more than allowed. Bike performance has been sacrificed on the altar of commercializing disc brakes.

I remember this interview in 2007. Wiggins was pissed at the doping, he'd have won that TT if everyone was clean. I wonder what his thoughts are now as he drinks from the same cup as Lance. https://t.co/TW11lWLMqA

The more I think about it, the more I find the fact that Cav rides for Astana and is seemingly big pals with Vino mind-blowing. Is win 35 really worth it? Tell us about the 2007 Tour with Vino, Cav...

@BritishConti Rather than make men's ToB world tour, excluding even conti teams, they should drop it to a 2.2 to allow elite teams in and develop a pathway supporting elite dev teams too

Dissapointing to see TT bikes allowed here. Huge additional pressure on parents in an already overly expensive sport. You want to win, pay another £4k. More cost and larger carbon footprint with less car sharing too with multiple bikes required. For what gain to the series?

This is an important point. The Giro is bankrolled by places paying for the race. It's a big occasion for them. No money = no race
🇮🇹 Mauro Vegni 🗣️ "We're going to start after the descent at Prato di Stelvio. We had to make sure everyone is happy. Livigno spent money on having the stage here. We had to find a compromise." #GirodItalia 🇮🇹
