Remembering 12 years on from receiving my higher (Scottish version) results that I too have options no thanks to this man. Australia or New Zealand is the question.
Good luck to everyone receiving results today!. Remember that nerve wracking day vividly and I collected mine 24 years ago! . Remember you have options, whatever the outcome.

So this got a lot more attention than expected. A few points:. 1. Yes I've considered bank. Awaiting reference checks but no guaranteed shifts. 2. My house is in my name but my ex did contribute so not giving her money would be wrong. 3. I'm older than most of you assume I am.
I find it wild how many people have told me "but you're just finishing F2 you don't have any real responsibilities you'll be ok" in response to my lack of proper job next week. I have a mortgage to pay. And potentially a divorce settlement. But I'm early in my career so it's OK?.

This got a lot more attention than I expected. I'd like to add that all members of the MDT are incredible and I have so much respect to all of you. If we all work within our own scope and support eachother, it might be a bit easier.

As a "junior" doctor I often have to do all those things with often only one reg and consultant around (usually not physically on the ward). Noone comes to check on me either. I do this daily not just for 5 day strike cover. Despite having multiple degrees that took 9 years. .

I can finally apply for conditional offer of divorce from the 5th of August. The 5th of August is also the last day of FY2. What a fun coincidence 🙃.

I travel up to an hour to work unpaid due to a rotational job with 4 month placements in different sites.I maintain a car with business insurance.I have to cover GMC fees.I provide my own stethoscope. Cleaners are essential I agree but stop pretending they have expenses we don't.
@DrVoles Your cleaner travels to your house, unpaid. S/he likely maintains a car, with business insurance. S/he possibly provides her own equipment. S/he likely needs to pay for insurance. S/he needs to cover holiday pay, sickness etc with what s/he charges. It’s a silly argument.

Since doctors are being criticised for. being able to afford to eat?. I'd like to remind everyone that I'm a landlord as well as a doctor and that's how I'm able to afford nice things sometimes. Obviously doctors should be paid less because we breathe oxygen or something.
