NURSE . Our ophthalmic nurses assist with eye examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures. They provide pre- and post-operative care, educate patients on managing their eye health, and support ophthalmologists in delivering specialist eye services.

OPTOMETRIST. A hospital optometrist can assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions. They work alongside with Ophthalmologists to provide specialist eye care, monitoring and support pre- and post-operative care with the aim of improving patients visual needs.

ORTHOPTIST . Orthoptists are specialists who diagnose & manage disorders of eye movements and binocular vision, such as squints or double vision. They assess visual function, prescribe eye exercises, and work closely alongside Ophthalmologists to plan treatments or surgery.

NURSE. Our ophthalmic nurses organise the running of our department on a daily basis as well as their own specialist clinics. Pre-assessments, Angiographies and our emergency phonelines are all Nurse-led. They also keep the department organised, safe, clean & efficient. 👩‍⚕️🧑‍⚕️

ORTHOPTIST. Orthoptists are degree trained, specialising in eye movements and highly skilled vision testing. They are able to test babies & children or people with learning disabilities.You may see an orthoptist for conditions such as squints, stroke or double vision.#Orthoptist

Ophthalmic Technicians. These are our experts in all things diagnostic. If you need any sort of clinical test within the clinic, you'll usually have these done by our Ophthalmic technicians. This can be any sort of scan, diagnostic or vision test to support your examination.
