Business school professors get paid 1.5–2x CS. Asked why, university mumbles abt outside options. But CS profs have 2-5x outside earning power. Time's long nigh to re-calibrate & cut B-school pay.🔪.

Had a great time presenting what we do in @AmericanAir to PhD students at @NU_INFORMS . Too bad I miss the chance to meet with Dr. @SimgeKucukyavuz due to her travel plan, but I knocked her door!

Overall, I like what I am doing, and I am very grateful to all the supports and suggestions I have received during job search. And here is a pic I used to constantly remind myself that I deserve to have what I want in my life.

I feel awesome to see how OR decision support tools we develop and maintain that continue to make real impact, particularly for the airline recovery operations during extreme weather conditions.

It didn’t take too long for me to accept their offer. Then my manger and a coworker continually to email me before I graduated. They tried to help me minimize the blockers of moving to Texas. It was so good to know that they care.

All the OR questions I got from the technical panel were so relevant (solid evidence of them studied my resume). I told people that even if I don’t get offer, it was a great interview experience that I have nothing to regret about.

Among all the interviews I’ve had, the OR division from my current employer American Airlines was the longest and toughest but the nicest. I truly feel that they respected me and wanted to know me personally via several manager panels.
