CT was hoping to dump on institutions as their exit liquidity, guess they did not expect at which prices and got caught off-guard with a completely broken liquid crypto market
Bitcoin ownership is still retail dominated, around 66%. This structure will increasingly change to resemble stock market structure. Here, institutions hold 70-80% of the stock market ownership, while retail investors hold the remaining 20-30%.

What actually matters is trust, provenance & verifiability. That’s why ERC-8004 is more interesting IMO but bit more underrepresented on socials. it gives agents on-chain identity, reputation & coordination. x402 answers how to pay. ERC-8004 answers who to trust.

From a crypto lens, this just adds blockchain payment rails. It doesn’t create verifiable, permissionless agents that can act as autonomous economic actors. If all agents still run on the same cloud LLMs and just pay each other, that’s a new checkout flow we created, not a new

Everyone’s saying “x402 makes money move through the internet like information.” True, it’s elegant. Reviving HTTP 402 and embedding payments into the web stack is smart. Technically i am not that deep into it to judge properly, but is it sth completely new and innovative? Or

everyone’s talking x402. it definitely is clever, but how revolutionary is it? Turning HTTP 402 into a stablecoin checkout rail won’t create autonomous agents. We still need trust, provenance & verifiable coordination for a real machine economy.
